In this special episode of the Dynamic Duel Podcast, Johnny DC and Marvelous Joe celebrate Women's History Month with an epic team battle between DC’s Birds of Prey and Marvel’s A-Force. While Birds of Prey is known as a street-level team founded by Barbara Gordon (Oracle), A-Force consists of some of the most powerful female superheroes in the Marvel Universe. The matchup presents an interesting dynamic, with intelligence and strategy squaring off against raw power.

Breaking Down the Teams

To ensure a fair battle, each host selected seven characters to represent their respective teams. Johnny DC’s Birds of Prey lineup included Batgirl (Barbara Gordon), Black Canary, Huntress, Power Girl, Dove, Hawk Girl, and Vixen. This mix of martial artists, strategic thinkers, and powerhouses was meant to elevate the traditionally grounded Birds of Prey to a level where they could compete with A-Force.

Marvelous Joe’s A-Force team featured She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew), Nico Minoru, Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan), Dazzler, and Mockingbird. A-Force boasted a formidable array of energy-wielding and super-powered heroes, many of whom have experience leading major Marvel teams.

How the Battle Played Out

Before running the Monte Carlo simulations, the hosts speculated on how the fight might go. The battle kicked off with Black Canary unleashing her Canary Cry, only for Dazzler to absorb the sound and convert it into a powerful energy attack. From there, the fight escalated, with Power Girl and Captain Marvel trading blows in the sky while Hawk Girl attempted to take down Ms. Marvel, who used her energy constructs and elasticity to fight back.

Huntress squared off against Mockingbird in a fierce martial arts duel, while Batgirl and Nico Minoru engaged in a battle of wits and magic. Meanwhile, She-Hulk and Vixen clashed, with She-Hulk launching Vixen into space, only for her to survive using the abilities of a tardigrade.

Throughout the match, both teams demonstrated their strengths—A-Force with their sheer power and ranged attacks, and Birds of Prey with their adaptability and teamwork. As the fight reached its climax, Vixen attempted a sneak attack on Captain Marvel, leading to a dramatic final moment that could determine the outcome of the battle.

The Simulation Results

After running 1,000 Monte Carlo simulations, the winner was revealed: Birds of Prey won 51.4% of the matches, narrowly defeating A-Force, who won 48.6%. Despite A-Force’s powerhouse lineup, Birds of Prey’s superior fighting skill and strategic coordination gave them the edge. The statistics revealed that while A-Force had the advantage in strength and durability, Birds of Prey excelled in speed, perception, and overall battle tactics.

Final Thoughts

The results were a surprise to Marvelous Joe, who expected A-Force’s raw power to be overwhelming. However, the Birds of Prey proved that intelligence and teamwork could outmaneuver brute force, making this a fitting victory in honor of Women's History Month.
