Sealed away by the Guardians of the Universe inside the Green Lantern Central Power Battery, Parallax’s influence subtly spread, leading to the infamous “yellow impurity” that initially limited Green Lanterns’ abilities. When Hal Jordan, Earth’s greatest Green Lantern, succumbed to despair after the destruction of Coast City, Parallax took control of him, transforming him into one of DC’s most terrifying threats. With the power to manipulate fear, create constructs, and drive entire civilizations to ruin, Parallax is a force unlike any other.

Onslaught: The Ultimate Psionic Threat

Born from the minds of Professor X and Magneto, Onslaught emerged as a powerful psychic entity capable of reshaping reality. His existence began when Xavier shut down Magneto’s mind, inadvertently absorbing his anger and malevolence, which fused with Xavier’s own buried darkness. The result was Onslaught, an immensely powerful being with the combined abilities of both mutants. As he grew in strength, Onslaught sought to dominate humanity and remake the world according to his vision, leading to one of Marvel’s most devastating crossover events. With his immense telepathic and telekinetic abilities, electromagnetic control, and the capacity to absorb and manipulate other mutants’ powers, Onslaught proved nearly unstoppable.

How the Battle Unfolds

With both entities existing on a near-godlike scale, the battle between Parallax and Onslaught was destined to be an epic clash of raw power and psychological warfare. Parallax immediately attempted to exploit Onslaught’s fears, but as a being of negative psychic energy, Onslaught proved highly resistant. Onslaught countered by using his telepathy to probe Parallax’s mind, leading to an eerie revelation of the entity’s true insectoid form. From there, the battle escalated into an abstract psychic war, with Onslaught and Parallax fighting across the astral plane, attempting to consume and dominate one another’s essence.

And the Winner Is...

After running 1,000 Monte Carlo simulations, the results were revealed—Parallax emerged as the victor, winning 52.4% of the matches against Onslaught. While Onslaught’s immense intelligence and mind-reading abilities gave him a strong edge, Parallax’s universal-scale fear manipulation and ability to affect entire civilizations proved to be the deciding factors. Despite the relatively close outcome, the entity of fear ultimately prevailed.
