Two Crime Bosses, One Brutal Battle
In this episode of Dynamic Duel, we pit two of the toughest street-level villains from Marvel and DC against each other—Tombstone and Blockbuster. These two powerhouses have a lot in common: both are physically enhanced enforcers who operate in the criminal underworld, both are known for their sheer brute force, and both have squared off against some of the best street-level heroes in their respective universes. But when it comes down to a head-to-head brawl, who would come out on top?
Who Are These Characters?
For those unfamiliar, Tombstone, aka Lonnie Lincoln, is a formidable Spider-Man and Daredevil villain. Born an albino with a terrifying presence, Tombstone clawed his way through the criminal underworld and became a ruthless enforcer. After being exposed to the experimental DIOX-3 gas, he gained enhanced durability, speed, and strength, making him nearly invincible. His signature sharpened teeth and rock-hard skin make him a fearsome foe for anyone in his way.
Blockbuster, on the other hand, is a title held by two individuals in DC Comics—Mark Desmond and Roland Desmond. While Mark was the original brute, it was Roland who took on the role most famously, becoming the dominant crime lord of Blüdhaven and Nightwing’s archenemy. Thanks to chemical enhancements and, at one point, a deal with the demon Neron, Roland possessed immense superhuman strength while retaining his intelligence, making him a dangerous blend of brains and brawn.
The Stats and Strategy
As always, we ran 1,000 Monte Carlo simulations to determine the winner of this match. Both characters have immense physical power, with Blockbuster boasting greater intelligence and overall strength, while Tombstone has superior durability and a wider range of tactics. Tombstone also fights dirty, incorporating firearms, blades, and a brutal fighting style that leaves no room for mercy.
While Blockbuster’s sheer power is overwhelming, his downfall lies in the fact that Tombstone’s rock-hard skin can withstand his attacks longer than vice versa. Additionally, Tombstone’s experience as a long-term criminal enforcer gives him an edge in close-quarters combat. Despite Blockbuster’s impressive feats, the simulations leaned in Tombstone’s favor, largely due to his endurance and ability to keep fighting despite taking major damage.
The Fight – A Gruesome Showdown
The battle itself was a bloody affair, with both fighters trading brutal blows. Blockbuster attempted to overpower Tombstone with sheer strength, ragdolling him across the battlefield. However, Tombstone’s durability allowed him to endure, eventually using his signature vicious tactics to turn the tide. Whether it was a curb stomp or a precise knife strike, Tombstone proved that he could outlast and outmaneuver Blockbuster in most scenarios.
The Results – Who Won?
After running the numbers, the winner of this battle was Tombstone, who secured victory in 592 out of 1,000 matches. Blockbuster put up a solid fight, winning 408 battles, but in the end, Tombstone’s enhanced durability, strategic use of weapons, and tenacity gave him the upper hand.
This was a close fight, and while Blockbuster’s raw power made him a dangerous opponent, Tombstone’s ability to take a hit and keep going proved too much for the DC villain. For fans of both characters, this was an exciting matchup that showcased the best of both Marvel and DC’s street-level enforcers.
